Garrard 301/401 lovers rejoice

Due to popular demand, and more requests, we are reintroducing our solid plinth 2v2 specifically designed for Garrard 301/401 and PTP. Despite removing the plinth entirely from the website, people are still asking about it and if it is still available to order. We realised there is still so much demand for it and so have decided to offer this amazing plinth once again.

Why did we stop producing it?
In order to build one takes a considerable effort with the alloy tonearm components of the plinth. The cradle the arm panel sits inside for example is a considerable piece of billet, a lot of machining, then sent for sand blasting, then sent for anodising, then finally sent for etching. In recent times, this became quiet the challenge to put everything in place and to be completed in a timely manner for the shipping due date to the customer, and it became more difficult over time to bring everything together due to delays from either/all of our supply partners and finishers. The finishers we used have recently taken on a lot of work in a certain robotics company and so are extremely more busy then they ever have been, resulting in longer waits for products to be finished. We have worked with them for a decade or more to get our products to the quality we expect so there’s little choice in using anyone else.

Due to the unreliable nature of the process timing we stopped production.

Since then, however, we have rearranged things a little. We are now producing the alloy parts ahead of any orders so we have stock ready. This is not something we usually do as it is expensive to have parts sat on a shelf in the hopes to use them one day. But we are confident enough now to know that these parts will not hang around for long, this enables us to send the plinth to the customer within our normal build times.

The 2v2 plinth features solid billet custom made tonearm sliding mechanism with etched rule mounting distance gauge for accurate mounting and is super rigid and a cinch to set up.

Solid anodised alloy tonearm panels are cut for the arm of your choice included in the price.

Black on black finish with satin black acrylic top and contrasting real wood veneer satin black ash sides.

Features Acoustand logo embedded in the front.

Cable outlets and IEC power socket as standard.
