HISTORY
This turntable is as the name suggests, an evolution of the businesses beginnings as a plinth and speaker builder from it's humble beginnings back in the early 90s. My passion for bringing the absolute best quality engineering and woodwork at incredibly low prices is as important as it ever has been. I believe in building great products that everyone can afford, that most people probably would not even dream of owning because usually they're far too expensive.

The Evolution Master turntable is probably the best example here. Three years ago I set out to make a statement piece that lets people know they can own a serious high end turntable using the finest engineering at my disposal. A turntable without any compromises in quality. Down to every single piece of material used, every millimetre with exception to the PSU and motor, designed in-house. I don't use/borrow/buy parts from any company, every part is designed and made here so if you need a part, a replacement is here. I do not rely on others to supply parts that may take months to appear and which I do not have quality or supply control over. With this in mind you can be truly at ease that anything you will ever need for your Evolution will be taken care of quickly and efficiently, not that it will need anything any time soon. This turntable is engineered to last, and apart from maybe the odd new belt now and then and oil change, it will be good for decades. I have intensively researched and designed this turntable to bring you the product you see today.

This turntable will be guaranteed for lifetime of the original owner. This excludes naturally degrading parts such as belts which you will expect give up after so long like any turntable, such parts will be readily available, you can be totally confident if for example any part unexpectedly falters, even in a decade or so, it will be replaced free of charge.

Every turntable..at least sold in the UK will personally be delivered and set up by Acoustand at no extra charge! Wether you reside up in the highlands of Scotland or the shores of Penzance your turntable will be personally delivered and set up at a convenient time for you. *Conditions Apply

PSU
The external power supply circuit is a very special piece designed in house by Mark Sears of Vinyl Passion, well known in the audio community for his superb Linn LP12 upgrades and equally great cables, Mark set out to build a totally new unmatched by anyone power supply for the Linn and it could not have happened at a better time. During a listening session at the vinyl passion listening room with the Evolution Master turntable, at the time I was tweaking with the power supply not being completely happy with it, Mark suggested to me about his new Revolution power supply and motor. The rest is history. The Evolution now proudly uses the new Vinyl Passion Revolution circuit with unmatched accuracy built into Acoustands custom billet motor housing and the performance is exceptional there is no other word for it and performs beyond expectation.

So what do you get for your £££s ? Well, 30kgs of turntable for starters for the basic turntable/Delrin platter, minus motor unit +6kg and matching platform+ 26.5kg, dedicated outboard PSU and motor in a custom housing, optional dedicated matching isolation platform, a superbly built turntable capable of holding 4 tonearms for a variety of cartridges. A choice of optional extras like 18 kg damped sandwich bronze platter with integrated acrylic mat, a 9 kg damped Alloy sandwich platter with integrated acrylic mat ,custom made aluminium or stainless steel arm panels depending on tonearm type. As standard the turntable is supplied with a solid 4.5 kg Delrin Platter which works amazingly and is all you should need, however for those wanting that little more for their prized record collection and perhaps add a little more bling, there are the optional platters mentioned above. A custom made 300g record weight is included.
The full monty package with bronze platter and isolation platform tops out at over 80kg or 170lb.

The highest quality Delrin is used, all the black components you see have been painstakingly finished in a special 4 stage paint finish which is amazing and unique, it is also possible to paint the Delrin to taste by special request. Acoustand pride themselves in offering a totally unique product where the customer gets a say what finishes they want. Literally any finish is available, all the purple parts you see on the example here are solid billet tooling plate alloy with brush finish.

BEARING.
10 millimetre diameter Peek Ceramic tipped polished precision Stainless Steel Spindle with phosphur bronze sleeves housed in a very heavily built two piece 100 mm diameter precision made Stainless Steel Maglev bearing enclosure, where opposing magnets take some of, not all the weight off the bearing to aid longevity. The bearing housing is precision fit into the turntable chassis with no mechanicle fixing and held by suction.

Heavy Duty damped sprung feet hold up the turntable, adjusted at each corner to help level and float the turntable to aid in reducing any unwanted vibrations effectively. Custom finishes are also something you do not see from many manufacturers, all the coloured parts you see are solid brushed aluminium and are available in an infinite choice, just send us a Pantone Code and we will do the rest. The brush finish is visible through clear coloured powder coated finish and looks stunning making the colours really pop as you walk around the turntable. Solid paints are also available and new CeraCote finished are available in satin and mat finishes.

The Evolution Turntable comes with one tonearm panel cut for the arm of your choice. Additional arm panels can be purchased, and cutting for tonearm fitment is free of charge.

Acoustand Tonearms and Head shells are also available with a generous discount if purchasing the turntable.

It is important to note that this turntable is unlike most offerings available today. The Evolution Master Turntable is completely hand built, one at a time, not mass produced by a team of workers. Every component on the Evolution turntable is made from scratch, other than the PSU and motor themselves, everything right down to the feet are made from scratch. The turntable you receive was built for you and is very special.
